Online Meshfree Multiscale Method for flow with Forchheimer law in fractured media
Abstract:
This paper presents a model of filtration process in a fractured porous medium. The filtration velocity in a porous medium is described by Darcy law, and in fractures is described by Forchheimer law. To describe filtration through fractures on a fine grid, Discrete Fracture Model (DFM) is used. To reduce the size of the discrete problem, Online Meshfree Generalized Multiscale Finite Element Method (Online MFGMsFEM) is developed. The results of numerical calculations showed higher accuracy relative to the offline multiscale method.
